2 Car Motor Vehicle Accident In The Town of Paris Injures 3

A two car accident in the Town of Paris has sent three people to a local hospital with serious injuries.
According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol patrol deputies were sent to the intersection of Summit Rd and Doolittle Rd in the Town of Paris for a head on collision involving 2 cars.
Investigating deputies determined that a vehicle driven by Russell Hughes, 18, of Edmeston failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with a second vehicle driven by William Menter,44, of Rome.
Three passengers in Menter's vehicle, Scott Martin,47, of New Hartford, Michael Reith, 59, of Sylvan Beach and David Deciccio, 51, of Cassville were all sent to St. Elizabeth's with serious injuries by Edwards and Central Oneida County Ambulances.
The two passengers in Hughes' vehicle, Russell D Hughes, 46, and Brenna Hughes, 3, were treated on the scene and released by Cassville FD and Edwards Ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation.
