2 hospitalized after stabbing in Utica, one woman charged



A stabbing last night in Utica sent 2 people to the hospital. Neighbors tell WKTV that the people that may have been involved had been fighting from yesterday afternoon, until when the incident occurred.


The incident happened on Oneida Street at around 10:00 p.m. and police are investigating.


Police are not releasing the names of anybody involved at this time.


UPDATE: Utica Police issued a press release regarding the incident. It reads as follows. "***PRESS RELEASE***

At approximately 10:15PM on June 28th, 2020 Utica Police units were dispatched to the 1500 block of Oneida St regarding an assault investigation. Upon their arrival it was learned that two females had sustained stab wounds during an altercation.

One of the female’s sustained injuries to her shoulder, bicep, and hand; the other to her hip. Both were transported to local hospitals and treated for their injuries.

Following the investigation it was learned that a suspect, Ashley Pierce age 24, of Utica, brandished a kitchen style knife during the fight and stabbed both females.

Pierce was subsequently charged with:
