
Two men, aged 33 and 37 were arrested Sunday afternoon after a Utica Police officer caught their vehicle, among other traffic violations, speeding down James Street in Utica.
Sunday afternoon, after pursuing the black SUV, police managed to get the driver to stop at a driveway on Seymour Ave., where both the driver and passenger were arrested.
Upon searching the vehicle, police found a loaded 9mm handgun under the driver seat, and a loaded .40 caliber handgun under the passenger seat.
The driver, 33-year-old Sylester Collins was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd and 3rd degree, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
The passenger, 37-year-old Richard Greene was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd and 3rd degree, and criminal possession of a firearm.
