(Utica) The Associated Press is reporting that a federal judge has ruled that NY must continue to allow healthcare workers to seek religious exemptions from a mandate requiring them to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Judge David Hurd, a federal judge in Utica, had issued a temporary order barring the state from enforcing their mandate. This after 17 doctors, nurses, and other health professionals claimed in a lawsuit that the race will be violated by this mandate.
Tuesday's ruling means that New York State will be barred from enforcing any requirement that denies religious exemptions.
