Fire crews responded Monday Evening to a fire at the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority facility on Leland Ave in Utica. The call came in around 6:30pm for a garbage fire near the transfer station. Fire crews spent several hours fighting the blaze and the smoke could be seen for miles. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
