Fort Plain Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

Fort plain man has been arrested and held without bail after a traffic stop in the Village of Nelliston.
On Thursday, October 21, Montgomery county sheriffs deputy conducted a traffic stop on E. Main St. in Nelliston. During that stop it was discovered that a passenger in the backseat of the vehicle had an open container of alcohol. According to the sheriffs office, when questioned, the passenger provided a false name and date of birth.
The passenger was identified later as Edward David Dillenbeck, 33, who had an outstanding warrant for criminal possession of stolen property. Dillinbeck was arraigned at Allentown town court and remanded to Montgomery county correctional facility without bail due to his status as a two-time convicted felon being charged with a new felony incident.
