On Sunday the Ilion Police Department posted a message on Facebook from Mayor Brian Lamica regarding the closing of Ilion Marina and parks.
Here is the message:
Effective immediately until further notice, the Ilion Marina is CLOSED to all camping/Recreational Vehicles. This is within the guidelines of Herkimer County and the State of New York, as we go through this difficult time. All playgrounds in the Village of Ilion are also closed until further notice. The COVID - 19 virus is NOT about politics, it’s about public health and safety. By now each of us knows someone who this virus has effected. If you don’t need to go out, I ask you to stay home.
