Judge Blocks NY Ban On Certain Vaping Products

Last September the Public Health and Health Planning Council issued a ban on electronic cigarettes flavored with anything other than tobacco or menthol. Catherine Cholakis, judge of the Rensselaer County Family Court, ruled that they'd overstepped their authority, stating that regulating the vaping industry was not the job of the executive branch of the state.

The Vapor Technology Association along with two of it's member companies oppose the ban, and requested an injunction against it. Judge Cholakis ganted their request.
