Judge Strikes Down NY Mask Mandate



A NEW YORK STATE JUDGE HAS RULED THAT THE STATE’S MASK MANDATE CAN NOT BE ENFORCED. THE MANDATE WAS INSTITUTED BY THE GOVERNOR OVER FEARS OF A WINTER OMICRON SURGE. NY STATE SUPREME COURT JUDGE THOMAS RADEMAKER RULED THAT THE NY STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT DIDN’T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO INSTITUTE THE MANDATE. THAT MANDATE WAS SET TO EXPIRE ON FEBRUARY 1ST.
