Man facing charges after boat accident leaves 4 in critical condition


According to local media, in an interview with Town Of Webb Police Chief Ron Johnston, it was revealed that Saturday night, a man had allegedly been driving a ski boat while intoxicated.


42-year-old Scott DelMedico, was driving a pontoon boat with 4 passengers. Two children, and two other adults. One of the children being his own 6-year old son.


His son, another 6-year-old boy, and that boy's grandfather were all airlifted to Syracuse University Hospital after the boat was hit with a ski boat driven by 22-year-old Carter Lawrence. Police say Lawrence was intoxicated, and is being charged accordingly.


A friend of DelMedico's was also on board, but was lifted to St. Luke's separate from the others. He is in serious condition.
