Police were called around noon yesterday to 423 West Park Street after multiple reports of shots fired. Upon arrival a man with wounds on his head and shoulder was found, police say. The man was uncooperative with the officers and was transported to the hospital.
Police say the weapon involved was a a .223 semi-automatic rifle, which hasn't been recovered, and are unsure of the motive behind the shooting. Anyone with information on the matter should call the Rome Police Department at (315) 339-7712.
