Multi building fire in Utica


Monday morning at around midnight, The Utica Fire Department, Utica Police and National Grid showed up to 1213 Oswego Street in Utica. The fire had started in a garage behind the home and spread to both floors of the building, according to Utica Fire Chief Scott Ingersoll.


The fire spread throughout multiple garages, and multiple homes, all buildings sustaining some degree of heat related damage. The occupants of the 1213 Oswego Street will be receiving aid from the American Red Cross.


The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
