Multiple shootings in Syracuse, at least 9 injured


Friday, June 20th there were several shootings, one of which at a gathering where at least 9 people were injured.

Syracuse Police gave a press release yesterday on the shooting.

The Syracuse Police Investigate A Shooting With Injuries Involving Multiple Victims

On Saturday, June 20th, 2020, at around 8:54 P.M., Officers responded to the intersection of Wyoming St. and Marcellus St. to investigate a stolen vehicle complaint. Upon arrival, Officers encountered 100's of people in the street who were part of a prior gathering. People were running and yelling. Officers located multiple gunshot victims on scene, and several other gunshot victims were privately transported to area hospitals. Nine victims were identified and ultimately taken to Upstate Hospital for treatment. One victim is listed in critical condition, and the other eight are expected to survive.

23, Male, Gunshot to groin and leg, Non-life threatening 29, Male, Gunshot wound to the neck, Non-life threatening 20, Female, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening 18, Female, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening 17, Male, Gunshot wound to the head, Critical 19, Female, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening 37, Female, Gunshot wound to the shoulder, Non-life threatening 22, Male, Gunshot wound to the leg, Non-life threatening 53, Female, Gunshot wound to the back and midsection.
