Oneida County elections commissioners resign amid pressure surrounding count errors


Oneida County's two elections commissioners are resigning after pressure from mistakes made during the 22nd congressional district race begins to overwhelm. Both the republican and democrat commissioner were requested to resign by the state Board of Elections in Albany.


According to Oneida County Legislature Chairman Gerald Fiorini, Rose Grimaldi, the republican elections commissioner, plans to submit her letter of resignation on Wednesday. Carolanne Cardone, the Democratic elections commissioner, sent hers in on Tuesday.
