Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente announced Thursday evening that the state would not allow procedure to phase 2 reopening from the Covid-19 shutdown. Picente says during a phone meeting, state officials told Mohawk Valley Control Board that the green light could not be given to proceed until the region's data met the standards set.
Anthony Picente was clearly frustrated during the announcement, and says businesses reopening because phase 2 was expected will not be punished.
