Primary Day is tomorrow, June 25th and here are a few of the races to watch.
In Utica, incumbent Mayor Robert Palmieri is being challenged by Utica Councilman Joe Marino. Marino, an accountant by trade, has said he plans to bring financial stability back to the taxpayers. Palmeri is seeking a third term. He is running on his record, touting that Utica's credit rating has turned around during his time as mayor.
In Oneida County, David Gordon is Challenging Anthony Picente, Jr for the Republican Party nomination in the race for Oneida County Executive. Things have already turned contentious after Gordon accused Picente of having an affair with a former Oneida County Staff Member.
Picente is running on his record, and has proposed a recreation complex near the Adirondack Bank Center. Gordon's platform includes reducing the county sales tax from 8.75% to 8.25% as well as cutting the county budget and reducing the tax levy.
