State Police and First Responders save a trapped woman in Fort Edward



On July 12, 2022, at about 3:43 p.m. State Police from Greenwich responded to a home on North River Rd. in Fort Edward for the report of a tree down on the house. The investigation determined that a large tree had fallen onto the home due to storm-related wind. Penelope Perry, 75, was in the home at the time and was rescued from the debris. Life Net of New York transported Perry to Glens Fall Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
