UPDATE - States Of Emergency Declared in Rome and Whitesboro




UPDATE - As of Friday August 20th, the state of emergency in Whitesboro was lifted following a sharp decline in rainfall in the area.


Rome is still in a state of emergency.

Good morning everyone...We have some news from overnight to share with you. Rome has declared a State Of Emergency. Several streets are closed due to flooding. We're working on getting a list. An emergency shelter has been opened at RFA for those impacted. Also, A State of Emergency has been declared in Whitesboro. The Mayor is asking residents near the Mohawk River to be prepared to evacuate if the need arises.
