Tractor trailer accident kills one, eastbound lanes closed

A motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer and one other box vehicle at around 6am has killed one person. The Identity is unknown at this time.

The accident happened on the NYS thruway near Herkimer.

All eastbound lanes and one westbound lane is closed. Traffic from eastbound lanes is being redirected off of I 90 on exit 31.
