Utica House Fire Displaces 3, Injures Firefighter


Wednesday at around 1 am police and fire crews were notified of a house fire on the 1900 block of Storrs Ave. by a garbage collector, who had seen the fire during his shift.


According to Fire Chief Ingersoll, the fire was confined to the attic, and the home is not liveable due to fire, smoke, and water damage.


One firefighter was sent to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center to treat an unknown shoulder injury.


The 3 displaced individuals have places to stay.
