Utica Man and two juveniles charged after armed home invasion investigation in Oneida County



State Police in Marcy arrested Carlos F. Rojas, age 20 from Utica, NY for Burglary 2nd degree, a class “C” felony, (2) counts of Assault 2nd degree, a class “D” felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class “A” misdemeanor.

Rojas and two juveniles are accused of unlawfully entering a residential garage in the town of Westmoreland on October 14th, 2019 and assaulting a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old male with a gun and glass bottle. Both victims were transported to the hospital, treated and released.

A 17-year-old female was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd degree, a class “C” felony. She was arraigned in Oneida County Family Court and released.

A 15-year-old male was arrested for Burglary 2nd degree, a class “C” felony, Assault 2nd degree, a class “D” felony; and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Oneida County Family Court and released.

Names of both juvenile arrestees are not being released due to their age.
