HEADLINE: Winter Weather Advisory issued February 18 at 10:23AM EST until February 18 at 3:00PM EST by NWS Binghamton DESCRIPTION: ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. * WHERE...Northern Oneida county. * WHEN...Periods of snow will continue into the early afternoon, before mixing with and changing to rain showers later this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southeast winds at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph will create areas of blowing and drifting snow. Temperatures will rise to near 30 degrees by midday. It should warm above freezing and into the upper 30s by late afternoon. Snowfall rates around 1 inch per hour at times will continue this morning. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph in northern Herkimer and northern Hamilton Counties. * WHERE...Northern Warren, Northern Herkimer, Hamilton and Northern Fulton Counties. * WHEN...Through 5 PM EST today. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities.
